On my easel this week...

I'm working on a painting that has been sitting in my studio for months - waiting for me to come back to. Sometimes there is an initial inspiration that somehow gets lost with some paintings as happened with this one. I blocked in some values and colors - then just lost the feel of the initial excitement I had the day I took the photo. I didn't take a pic of the "before" state because I was so aggravated with it, but here it is after working on it this weekend. It has a ways to go but I feel it is definitely on the right track! I'm now looking forward to finishing it!
