Flowering trees and shrubs just call out to be sketched! Here the magnolia, star magnolia, and forsythia definitely caught my attention.

How to paint white or light colored flowers on a white page? Paint the negative space around the flowers. If it is the sky, go ahead and push the value a little darker to contrast with the flower.

You might want to try masking fluid on the light blossoms!
