Immerse yourself in the beauty of form!

In this observational drawing class, you will build a solid groundwork for continued study in the arts. You will become skilled in the art of seeing and proficient in drawing what is before you. Emphasis will be placed on simplification of the subject, accurate blocking-in of elemental shapes and sensitive rendering of light and shadow. You will develop a strong understanding of the elements and principles that are the foundation of art-making, while gaining insight into the history and future of the still-life.  In addition to classwork, drawing prompts and assignments will help you strengthen your skills and build a sustainable drawing practice.
