Beauty is all around us. You don’t need to go far to find it, its in the neighborhood, at the park, even in your own yard!
Helen Loggie (1895-1976), a Bellingham resident who became nationally known for her etchings of the Northwest landscape, developed a true love for her surroundings. The texture of a tree trunk, how the light falls across the yard, the curve of a branch, all simple, yet exquisite moments you, too, can capture with a sketch.
Follow along with artist Kathleen Moore as she works from a reference photo, showing you how to see your subject and then how to translate what you see into a strong, confident sketch.
