Learn how to create delicate, gleaming drawings in silver! Silverpoint is a fascinating drawing medium. Before graphite pencils were developed, artists made drawings with silver wire! The medium can be challenging – you must prepare the surface before the silver will make marks and it is almost impossible to erase – but when you see your drawing shimmer in the light, you’ll know it’s well worth the extra preparation!

Working in pencil, pen and watercolor Kathleen will share the joy of painting flowers as winter gives way to spring beauty. Whether painting on the go or in the studio Kathleen will teach her students design, composition and more, introducing watercolor into sketching. Studying individual flowers in person, students can bring their favorites fresh from their gardens to draw and paint.
Kathleen Moore will guide her students through capturing the beauty of land and water in acrylic or oils. It’s perfect for beginning students who want to learn painting with simple shapes and good design, or for more experienced students who would appreciate a refresher. Kathleen will demonstrate composition, color mixing, and basic painting tips and techniques.
Practice seeing the simple shapes of flowers and develop watercolor skills to create beautiful, loose sketches of the natural world.
